Sandy and Ewan have been touring together
for a year playing in such venues as “The Star in the
Square Folk Club” and the “Lismore” in Glasgow,
Leith Folk Club and Hootenannies in Inverness as well a trip
to the Middle East. Their first album as a duo is due for
release in 2006. Together Ewan and Sandy play a mixture
of Scottish, Irish and English traditional songs and tunes,
together with contemporary folk songs, and original compositions.

Sandy
Brechin, from Edinburgh, is one of the greatest exponents
of the Scottish accordion. He is well known throughout the
world having toured and recorded extensively with "Burach",
"Seelyhoo", "The Sandy Brechin Band" and
his incredibly popular ceilidh band, "The Sensational
Jimi Shandrix Experience".

EWAN
Ewan Wilkinson was brought up in the Scottish Borders, and
has a strong grounding in the Scottish song tradition as well
as a unique insight into the music south of the border. He
is both an emotive singer and an articulate guitarist. Ewan
has been hailed as an important new young talent of the folk
scene.

In
October 2005 Sandy and Ewan toured Australia with
the renowned Skye fiddler Ronan Martin. Ronan
is widely regarded as one of the best West Coast style fiddlers
in Scotland. He was steeped in music from an early age and
has performed with many of Scotland's finest bands including
“Anam”, “The Scottish Stepdance Company”
and “Ceolas” and has worked with high calibre
musicians Fred Morrison (ex-Capercaillie), Malcolm Jones (Runrig),
Jonny Hardie (Old Blind Dogs) and Andy Thorburn (Blazin’
Fiddles) amongst others.
