DESCRIPTION
‘A wonderful accordion-led mix of Scottish traditional and contemporary music, with the emphasis on great melodies and interesting arrangements.’ This is the third CD and first release on the Brechin All Records label by this popular and innovative Edinburgh ceilidh band, affectionately known as ‘The Cadjers’. Led by accordion champion Alex Ross, the band has a traditional dance band line-up of lead accordion, second accordion, fiddle, bass, piano and drums, and also, unusually, mandolin. However, the band spans many genres, from dance band to ceilidh to folk, and although they feature many great dance tunes in sets suitable for ceilidh dancing, the album tracks are not set out for specific dances, as it is as much a listening album as a dancing album.
